Mission & Vision
Our Mission
Our mission is to contribute to economic development in our community by growing the people who develop the community.
Our Vision
CDI Atlanta believes that all individuals can be empowered to gain upward mobility and to build stable socio-economic communities. We envision a Georgia with a more inclusive workforce, reduced unemployment, and family-sustainable incomes across all communities.
Core Values
- Being Respectful – Everyone’s needs are important. Everyone deserves to be heard. Effective education can only happen when students and teachers respect each other.
- Understanding Attitude – We know that people’s needs vary significantly and can change over time; we seek to understand the individual client and his or her family and co-create the right environment for each person’s development.
- Encouraging Self-Reliance — We believe that helping a person to help him or herself is the most sustainable route to an improved standard of living. We honor the choices of people in need and encourage each person to take control over his/her own life based on what is important to him or her. We help to identify and address individuals’ barriers to success.
- Promoting Tolerance — We understand that people in need are composed of all races, ethnicities, and diversity. We do not discriminate against anyone nor favor one group over another but work towards promoting harmony and cooperation.
- Serving is Key — We provide excellent, high-quality life skills and career training services that people in need and their families — and non-profit organizations — can depend on. We always ask: “How can we work together to help?”
- Collaborating is Powerful — We work with a wide variety of non-profit and for-profit partners, foundations and advocates for increased effectiveness for all.
